Helical Pier Cost Calculator

Helical pier cost depends on how many piers are needed, how deep they must go, what loads they carry, how difficult the access is, and whether the work includes engineering, brackets, lifting, excavation, drainage correction, permits, and restoration.

Use this calculator to get a planning range before comparing contractor quotes. It is not a contractor bid. Helical piers are engineered foundation supports, so the final price should be based on soil, load, torque, pier depth, access, and the repair plan.

Estimate your helical pier cost

Use the number of support points shown in a contractor or engineer proposal if you have one.

How this estimate works

The calculator starts with the number of helical piers, expected depth, project scope, and foundation type. It then adjusts the planning range for soil uncertainty, engineering, excavation, brackets, lift or stabilization work, drainage, access, restoration, and regional labor conditions.

Helical piers need engineering logic

A helical pier is not just a metal post. The repair depends on load, soil, torque, depth, bracket connection, spacing, and whether the foundation can transfer weight properly into the pier system. That is why two quotes with the same number of piers can still be very different.

What changes the price most

  • How many helical piers are needed
  • How deep the piers must go to reach suitable bearing
  • Whether the repair is light stabilization, standard foundation repair, heavy structural repair, or specialty support
  • Whether the foundation is slab, crawl space, basement wall, stem wall, or mixed construction
  • Whether engineering, permits, or geotechnical review are needed
  • Whether lifting, staged leveling, brackets, or difficult load transfer are included
  • Whether water, drainage, hardscape, access, or finish restoration affects the work

Do not compare helical pier quotes by pier count alone

One quote may include only the installed piers. Another may include engineering, brackets, excavation, lift work, drainage correction, monitoring, permits, and restoration. Pier count matters, but it is not the whole scope.
